In this world of constant change and the rat race that is life one left to ponder on where are we all heading to? I was outside painting some boards with gesso ready for the next step of creation which entailed a swirling vat of colour and emotive expression about to be released onto this blank canvas. But I stopped in my tracks and looked down at this conga line of ants (well less dancing and more scurrying) with a purpose. Each looked exactly the same to one another. They following each other diligently carrying particles of things back to their home. I looked up and around and see people all around busy, befuddled with things to do, constantly busy. And I see the parallel’s in life. Life is living by doing. There was one thing that caught my attention I noticed, just the one, a little ant that I followed for a while heading in the right direction (supposedly) suddenly bumped into another ant and got pushed in the opposite direction and it went for a while in that direction until it realises it’s undoing it’s efforts by moving backwards but then proceeded to turn around and head back to the nest. I am left wondering if I am that ant carrying that crumb desperately back to the nest but end up following the wrong direction and end up moving away from where I’m supposed to be heading. I will spare you the blah blah and philosophical interpretations and share what is up in this sometimes confused human’s life. I am one of the many trying to find a way in this chaotic and confusing world we live in. And the state of the world requires some deep healing and time to recover. Signing off.
